A Touch of Ink - Hummingbird - Stampin' Blends

Updated: Jan 22

A Touch of Ink is a free Sale-a-Bration set! If you spend $100 at one time in January or February, you can get this set for free!

This is my first time playing with it.

For this one, I did not want the harshness of tuxedo black ink, so I stamped the hummingbird and the flower in basic gray instead. Then I used lots of Stampin' Blends to color in the hummingbird. I have to admit, I had to google what a hummingbird looks like! Once I had the colors, I decided to make the flower purple and yellow. I stamped the sentiment directly on the paper also in basic gray. I thought it still needed some color, so I used the new blending brushes and some petal ink to create the soft circle of color. Finally, I ran the paper through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine with the Greenery Embossing folder. I placed it on a piece of petal pink cardstock, and then on a basic white card base.

I will be experimenting more with this beautiful set!
