A Touch of Ink Sale-a-Bration Set - Color Challenge

My upline does color challenges for her team. This month's challenge is to use rococo rose, petal pink, and crumb cake. We can also use white cardstock. Here is my creation.

I must admit, I've ben struggling with this set. But today, inspired by fellow demonstrator Julie Davidson, I made this card and I love it!

I stamped three butterflies going up the page in crumb cake. For the middle butterfly only, I stamped the second step stamp in rococo rose spritzed with water to make it look very watercolory (that's a word, right?). I also stamped the word Hope in the bottom right in rococo rose, and layered it on crumb cake. Using Stampin' dimensionals, I popped it up on a piece of petal pink that has been run through the Big Boss using the painted texture 3d embossing folder.

Can I tell you a secret? I did not plan to add any gilded gems, but I got a smudge on the finished project. So I used my favorite way to save a card and added an embellishment on top of the smudge. Of course, then I had to add two more! And I thought the upper left needed something, so I added a polka dot tulle bow. As I always say, there are no mistakes in stamping! You can always fix or change something.

This card would be great for anyone going through a rough time, and particularly for someone struggling with breast cancer. I hope you like it! Leave me a comment and let me know.

Ingredients: A Touch of Ink Sale-a-Bration stamp set; thick basic white, basic white, petal pink, and crumb cake cardstock; rococo rose and crumb cake ink; gilded gems; white polka dot tulle ribbon; painted texture 3d embossing folder; liquid glue or seal, glue dots, and Stampin' dimensionals; Stampin' spritzer filled with water; Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine (Big Boss).

Recipe: Cut a piece of thick basic white in half, score in half again, and fold to create a regular card base of 5.5x4.25". Cut a piece of petal pink cardstock 1/8" smaller. Run the petal pink through the Big Boss using the painted texture embossing folder. Using liquid glue, adhere the petal pink to the basic white cardstock. Cut a piece of basic white to 3.25x4.5". Cut a piece of crumb cake 1/8" larger.

Stamp three butterflies in crumb cake from the bottom left to the top right, twisting your hand slightly to vary the direction of the butterflies. Stamp the second step wings in rococo rose, spritz with the Stampin' spritzer filled with water, and stamp on the middle butterfly. Stamp Hope in the bottom right using rococo rose ink. Adhere to the soft suede using liquid glue. Adhere that piece to the card base with Stampin' dimensionals. Add three gilded gems and a bow made out of white polka dot tulle ribbon.

Thank you for spending some time with me!
