Detailed Hearts die with Watercolored Background | #GDP275
Updated: Jan 24
I am again joining the Global Design Project challenge. This week #GDP275 is all about love - so I pulled out the Detailed Hearts die.
It cuts one large heart bundle, and also lots of teeny hearts for another project. Stay tuned for their use elsewhere. But for now, here is my Wednesday Wow! card, also my entry into the challenge.
I used the Detailed Hearts die on basic white. I watercolored the background to create an ombre of petal pink, blushing bride, and rococo rose inks. First I spritzed a piece of fluid watercolor paper with water in my Stampin' Spritzer. Then I use the water painters to put swathes of color on the paper. I spritzed it again and held it vertically to let the water drip and spread together. Once it dried, I placed it on a piece of rococo rose cut just 1/16" larger and adhered with liquid glue. I placed liquid glue on my silicone sheet and, using a sponge, spread the liquid glue lightly on the back of the die, and adhered to the watercolored sheet. I wrapped a piece of blushing bride metallic ribbon around the watercolored piece and adhered it to the back.
I stamped "you're amazing" in rococo rose on a piece of basic white and cut out with a Rectangle Stitched die. I cut a piece of petal pink with one of the dies from Tasteful Labels, and adhered the sentiment to it. I finished it with gold gems.
I cut a piece of basic white just 1/16" smaller than the card base and ran it through the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder, and adhered directly onto the card base using liquid glue.
I then adhered the top piece with Stampin' dimensionals.
Let me know what you think!
