Happy Valentine's Day! Ice Cream Corner DSP

Hi all, and Happy Valentine's Day! I have been using the Detailed Hearts and saving the cut out hearts, so I decided to use them to make a card.

When you use Detailed Hearts, you end up with lots of little leftover hearts. I save them, and use them on other projects. Here i added a strip of hearts across the middle of the card.

I cut a piece of Ice Cream Corner designer series paper, and cut it in half diagonally to create an empty space. I ran a piece of tear and tape down the middle of the empty space, and adhered lots of little hearts here.

I cut out the large heart with the Many Hearts die - the one that cuts out a thin heart outline and the inside heart at the same time - and popped up the inside heart to create separation. I love the way that worked, I am sure I will repeat it often!

The sentiment is from Hydrangea Haven. It is such a sweet sentiment. I plan to send this card to my college senior, who is looking for a job for after graduation and very stressed (you know, COVID economy). Hopefully I brighten his day.

Hope you like it! Please leave me a comment. Thanks for spending some time with me!

Ingredients: Hydrangea Haven stamp set; Detailed hearts and Many Hearts dies; Blackberry Bliss ink; thick basic white and basic white cardstocks; Ice Cream Corner dsp; leftover hearts from Detailed Hearts; pearl basics; liquid glue, tear and tape, and Stampin' dimensionals; Take Your Pick Tool; trimmer; and Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine (Big Boss).

Recipe: Cut a piece of thick basic white in half horizontally, score in half, and fold to create a regular card base that measures 5.5x4.25". Cut a piece of Ice Cream Corner dsp to 4x4.25, and cut at a diagonal in half. Place the dsp (do not yet adhere it) on the thick basic white so that there are equal spaces at the top, bottom, and sides of the card base, and a space in the middle. Run a piece of tear and tape in the empty space from side to side. Remove the dsp. Using the putty end of the Take Your Pick tool, place hearts randomly all over the tear and tape. Adhere the dsp where you had placed it originally.

Stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on basic white. Using the Many Hearts die, cut out of basic white the heart die that cuts both the outside heart and the inside heart. Put small dots of liquid glue on the heart outline, and blot if necessary. Place the heart on the card. Using Stampin' dimensionals, pop the inside heart up on the inside of the heart outline. Add three pearl basics.
