Happy Valentine's Day! | Many Hearts and Detailed Hearts dies

Happy Valentine's Day to my husband!

I am entering card this into this week's Global Design Project challenge #gdp278. To see the other cards, go to This challenge was a sketch challenge.

Because it's a masculine card, I did not want to use pink. I wanted to use one of the Oh So Ombre designer series paper to get the ombre'd look, so my choice was between Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green, and Rococo Rose. I chose Granny Apple Green.

To create this card, I ran the granny apple green Oh So Ombre dsp through the Big Boss using the Detailed Hearts die. I used the Many Hearts dies to create the large hearts. One die cuts out both the heart outline and the solid heart. I used the rectangle dies to cut out the sentiment (which I got from Hydrangea Haven) on a scrap of the granny apple green Oh So Ombre dsp. I added the gorgeous Forever Greenery trim, white polka dot tulle ribbon, and champagne rhinestones to finish it off. To give it more texture, I used the Tasteful Textiles 3d embossing folder.

Ingredients: Hydrangea Haven stamp set; Detailed Hearts dies; Many Hearts dies; thick basic white, basic white, and pear pizzazz cardstock; Oh So Ombre designer series paper; Forever Greenery trim pack and white polka dot tulle ribbon; champagne rhinestones; liquid glue or seal, and Stampin' dimensionals; Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine (Big Boss).

Recipe: Cut the thick basic white cardstock in half, then score in half again and fold to create a regular card base of 5.5x4.25". Cut a piece of pear pizzazz to 5.25x4". Cut a piece of basic white to 4x3.75".

Run the basic white through the Big Boss using the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder. Attach the basic white to the pear pizzazz using liquid glue. Run a piece of the naturals trim from Forever Greenery across the font and attach to the back using liquid glue.

Cut Detailed hearts from a piece of granny apple green Oh So Ombre dsp. Cut the top piece from the bottom so that you have a smaller piece and a larger piece. Place the larger piece aside for another project. Dot liquid glue to the back of the top of the Detailed Hearts die and attach to the basic white and pear pizzazz place.

Using Many Hearts dies, cut a piece of pear pizzazz using the die that cuts out an inside and an outside heart. Glue onto the basic white and pear pizzazz piece.

Stamp the sentiment using Hydrangea Haven onto a strip from the Oh So Ombre dsp. Using the smallest Rectangle Stitched die and the Big Boss, cut out the sentiment (note that the rectangle die is much longer than what I used). Cut off the end of the Stitched Rectangle die-cut piece, and create a flag on the end.

Using liquid glue, adhere a strip of white polka dot tulle ribbon on the heart at an angle, then adhere two pieces of gold trim on top. Add the sentiment using liquid glue.

Add three champagne rhinestones.
