Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper | Quick Card
Have you tried Stampin' Up!'s designer series papers? They make projects so quick and easy and at the same time adorable. Here is one using the new Ice Cream Corner DSP that I made within minutes today.
This card is so easy and so striking. I simply cut strips of Ice Cream Corner dsp and glued them onto a different piece on an angle, then added a sentiment with pastel pearls. Super easy!
This card is going to my niece Sarah, who is turning 23 and loves purple and ice cream. Does that sound familiar? She's the twin of the other niece that I mentioned a few days ago.
Happy birthday Hope and Sarah!
Ingredients: Happy Birthday stamp from any set (this is an old Paper Pumpkin); tuxedo black ink; thick basic white, basic white, and blackberry bliss cardstock; Ice Cream Corner dsp; pastel pearls; Tasteful Labels dies; seal or liquid glue; trimmer; paper snips; Stampin' dimensionals; and Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine (Big Boss).
Recipe: Cut a piece of thick basic white in half horizontally, score in half, and fold to create a card base that is 5.5x4.25". Optional, I like to use my bone folder to create a good crease.
Cut a piece of Ice Cream Corner dsp to 5.25x4". Note: this is the brown piece (the piece that looks like a waffle cone) - it goes under the ice cream cone/popsicle strips.
Cut two 1" strips from both the ice cream cones (the same piece but opposite side of the brown piece underneath) and the popsicles. Using seal or liquid glue, adhere the strips on to the brown piece, separating them so that the brown piece peaks out, alternating the strips, placing them on an angle, and making sure that the strips extend completely beyond the edges. Turn the brown piece over and cut all strips even with the brown piece using the paper snips. Glue onto the card base using seal or liquid glue.
Stamp Happy Birthday onto a piece of basic white cardstock. Using the Big Boss and a die from Tasteful Labels, cut out the sentiment. Cut a piece of blackberry bliss with another, thinner but longer, Tasteful Labels die. Layer the sentiment onto the blackberry bliss die cut. Using stampin' dimensionals, adhere the sentiment onto the card base. Add pastel pearls.
I hope you like it as much as I do! Please leave me a comment. If you make it please tag me so that I can see it. Thanks for spending some time with me!
