Life is Beautiful - Summer Theme

Updated: Dec 24, 2020

Have you seen Life is Beautiful in the August - December mini-catalog? It is such a great all season stamp set. My secret with this stamp set? I cut the two leaves that are separate on the end off the rest of the leaves. Now I have two stamps - one that has most of the leaves, and one that has two leaves. I use the large stamp to stamp most of the leaves, then use the two leaves to fill in and place more leaves where I think there needed to be more leaves.

Click here for a video tutorial showing how I made a different Life is Beautiful card.

Here is a fun card I made for our team color challenge using this stamp sets showing a summer theme. The color challenge was to use only Bermuda Bay, Shaded Spruce, and Soft Suede.

Ingredients: Life is Beautiful; bermuda bay, shaded spruce, and soft suede ink pads; thick whisper white cardstock, bermuda bay cardsock; bermuda bay Stampin' marker; postage stamp punch; linen thread; liquid glue; glue dots; stampin' dimensionals; greenery embossing folder; Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine; trimmer.

Directions: Cut a piece of thick whisper white card stock horizontally in half, then score horizontally down the middle and fold, creating a card base that is 5.5x4.25 inches. Cut a piece of bermuda bay cardstock to 5.25x4 inches and run through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine using the greenery embossing folder. Glue the bermuda bay cardstock on the whisper white card base. Cut a piece of whisper white card stock to 5x3.75 inches. On the white piece, stamp the tree trunk in soft suede. Using the leaf stamp, stamp leaves in shaded spruce all over tree, stamping some in first generation and some in second generation. Add more leaves where you want them using the two leaves. Stamp the birdhouse in soft suede and color the birds using a bermuda bay Stampin' marker. Stamp hello in soft suede on whisper white cardstock. Cut in an oval. Cut a small piece of bermuda bay using the postage stamp punch. Adhere the hello on top of it. Wrap linen thread around the white card stock stamped with the tree. Place the postage stamp piece on the white card stock and adhere with Stampin' dimensionals. Adhere the white cardstock with the tree and the postage stamp to the large bermuda bay piece using Stampin' dimensionals. Voila!

Come back later for more cards with this stamp, representing more seasons. Let me know what you think. If you make the card, please post it and tag me so I can see it.
